Summer Reading Program
Who: Ages 2 to Senior in High School
Sign up starts June 1, 2026 and will run through August 31, 2026. Come to the Library
to fill out your registration slip and get your reading log!
You get to pick out your very own pet dinosaur!
Your dinosaur can be your reading buddy!

***We challenge you to “Unearth Your Story” at the Betsie Valley
District Library this summer!!  Together, we can discover our stories together!
Read 2 hours each week, mark or color the pictures on your log for that week, Color or circle each picture for every half-hour that you read!  Read whatever is interesting to you! CHALLENGE YOURSELF! 
Read each week toward completing your Reading Challenge! 
ALSO, YOU CAN CHECK OUT A STEM KIT WHICH CAN COUNT TOWARDS ONE HOUR OF READING! Beginning
readers can have a parent or big brother or sister read to them! We want you to enjoy reading all summer!  At the end of
summer, you can bring in your completed reading log by Aug. 31, 2026 to earn a reading certificate, a book bag with goodies, $10.00 gift certificate to buy your own books, and be entered into a drawing for extra prizes!
Our “Unearth Your Story at the Library” Story and Activity Hour with Marvin T. Moose and your Lovable Librarians will run June 17, 2026 to August 12, 2026, Wednesdays,
11AM to 12PM. We will have Story Hour every week, where you can enjoy COOL stories and crafts!

These super-duper friends will be visiting the Library on every 3rd Wednesday from 12Noon to 1PM in June, July, and  August 2026! Come and read a favorite book from home or pick one out at the Library to read to them!
