Stem Kits!
BVDL now offers STEM Kits you can check out!

Kits can be checked out for one (1) week with a one (1) week renewal allowed.

To view the kit information and availability visit our Library Catalog and type STEM kit in the search box.

Click on the kit title you are interested in to see more information about the kit.

You can call us at the Library to set the kit aside for you and you can set up an appointment to come and check it out!

Or, you can place a reserve on it by logging into your BVDL account. In the upper right hand corner of the catalog page you will log into your Library account and reserve the item. Library staff will contact you and let you know when the item is ready for pickup.

- Thanks to a collaborative effort between the Traverse Area District Library and Newton's Road, STEM kits are NOW AVAILABLE at the Betsie Valley District Library! The two organizations obtained a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services which will put STEM kits in all of the libraries in our region!
The STEM kits vary from hands-on tactile learning, to coding, to a digital microscope, and lots of fun stuff in between. These are a great resource for home school, in person, or virtual students! Kits will be available for a one week checkout with renewal allowed.

Important return information: please DO NOT return the STEM kit through the book drop, PLEASE call the Library during open hours to set up an appointment to return it to the front desk or have a staff member pick it up curbside.
