“Adventure Begins at Your Library” Children's Summer Reading Program!
***We challenge you to discover that “Adventure Begins at Your Library” this summer!! Together, we can share adventures together! Who: Ages 2 to Senior in High School Sign up starts June 1, 2024 and will run through August 31, 2024. Come to the Library to fill out your registration slip and get your reading log! At the end of summer, you can bring in your completed reading log by Aug. 31, 2024 to earn a reading certificate, a book bag with goodies, and $10.00 gift certificate pick out your own books!

Nature Discovery Presents: Michigan Amphibians and Salamanders!
Michigan Amphibians and Salamanders! Saturday, July 20, 2024, 11am -12:30pm Where: Thompsonville Fire Hall and Community Center Pavilion, 14714 Lincoln Ave., Thompsonville Free Family Fun! The more you learn about the wild world around you the better off it is, AND the more interesting your time becomes when you are outdoors. Jim & Carol McGrath of Nature Discovery are back to show and discuss live samples of Michigan-native and amphibians specifically found here in Benzie County. Sponsored by the Betsie Valley District Library. For info call 231-378-2716. Some picnic tables are available, kindly bring your chairs or a blanket to sit on. Digging the Past: Exploring Archeology with the BVDL
Digging the Past: Exploring Archaeology! Take an exciting journey through the fascinating world of Native American artifacts and archaeology! Through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and engaging discussions, we will embark on an adventure to discover the rich history and culture of the Indigenous peoples of Northern Michigan. The program will be at the Thompsonville Fire Hall and Community Center Park Pavilion at 14714 Lincoln St., Thompsonville, MI 49683.
